Common Reasons Your Radiator Isn’t Heating Up
1. Trapped Air in the Radiator

How to Fix a Radiator That’s Not Heating

If you suspect trapped air, use a radiator key to release it:

If you have sludge build-up, you might need to remove the radiator and flush it out with clean water. For heavy build-up, a professional power flush is recommended.
4. Balance Your System
Balancing involves adjusting the lockshield valves on each radiator so they all heat evenly. This can be tricky, so many homeowners call a heating engineer to do it.
5. Call a Gas Safe Engineer
